The vision

Build skills while caring for the places we share.

Practical skills. Greener neighborhoods. New possibilities. We're planning a hands-on vocational training initiative for youth and adults seeking career pathways in professional lawn care and landscape maintenance.

The vision connects practical professional skills with projects that improve lawns, planting areas and shared neighborhood spaces. We're seeking equipment, plant and training support to help bring it to life.

What we plan to teach

  • Safe and proper operation of commercial-grade battery-powered mowers, trimmers, blowers and edgers, including personal protective equipment and battery handling.
  • Landscape installation, planting, soil preparation, plant care and seasonal landscape maintenance.
  • Sustainable techniques that protect soil, water and pollinators, including responsible watering, native planting and waste reduction.
  • Tool maintenance, equipment inspection, cleaning, charging and safe storage.
  • Job readiness, professional communication, customer service and dependable work habits.
  • An introduction to potential entrepreneurship, including planning services and understanding basic business responsibilities.
